Paul Derek's Story

Life Though I've moved around alot since 1988 and have had several different jobs, I am back in Arizona, this time to stay. For the 10 year reunion, I had made a 2000 mile journey from North Carolina with my then wife. We had a great time seeing people I hadn't seen since graduation. I would have liked to see some people that couldn't be there. Has anyone seen or heard from Chip Ashworth in the last several years? I did see a few people at the reunion that, though we may not have been friends during school, we had a great time hanging out for the festivities. Ron Housel and his wife and Kim Woody were great to talk to. I also saw a few people that I thought were friends that didn't say more than a few words to me as if they barely knew me. Eric Guliford was quite the attraction, and he was actually a delight to talk to. The NFL didn't go to his head. Speaking of football, anyone know anything about...Expand for more
where Steve Goode is these days? He was always great to hang around. Anyway, my wife and I split up back in late 1999, and since we had no kids together, I decided maybe home was where I needed to be. Arizona will always be home. I am working for Phelps Dodge Mining Company in Morenci, AZ as a haul truck driver. Not exactly a highly skilled job, but the pay is good and the benefits are excellent. I am also currently writing a book. Some tell me that, from what they've read, it has a good chance at a moderate level of success if I can get it published. I hope to have it completed at least by my birthday in February. Those that read this, if we were friends, by all means, contact me. If we weren't, but are able to become friends, I also invite e-mails. I will never turn down a possible friend. We all have a connection through Peoria High School, even if we didn't graduate together. Go Panthers!
